GILT ART

An ancient Islamic art of ornament and paper covering in gold, inspired by Koran, the source of all books ever written, wherein the holy text begins with the starting phrase “Bismillah”, which means, “In the Name of God”, then journeys into vanity and finally rebuilds itself in perpetuity. It is an enormous tree, with roots infused into the forgotten past and fruit-bearing branches extending towards eternity, and the dearest of all the traditional arts that spun through ages. It is the most delicate and naive garment of the Words of the Divine.
